China is one of the countries with a high incidence of geological disaster, especially in the seriously influence of the landslide disaster. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 70 city and 460 counties threatened by landslide, resulting in an average of 15 to 23 billion in economic losses each year at least. The monitoring of landslide and early warning is the most effective way to protect the safety of people’s life and property. However, the landslide monitoring methods in our country are mainly traditional methods, with low automaticity and low efficiency. There are also monitoring methods using high precision rangefinder. But they are difficult to popularize because of the dependant on the weather and the great cost.To solve the problems mentioned above, this thesis studies the key technology of high precision microwave ranging system, and proposes a digital baseband transmit beacon. And then landslide monitoring system based on the retransmission technology is designed. The performance of the system is analyzed by theory and simulation. Finally the principle of verification system is developed, and the key technology of landslide monitoring system is verified by the experiment. The main research of this thesis includes:(1) Microwave ranging method and the synchronous technology in collaborative microwave ranging system is studied. A comparative study of the principle and characteristics of three distance measurement methods is been done. Based on the study, the ranging method by phase detecting is chosen for landslide monitoring. At the same time synchronization technology of ranging system is studied, the self-synchronization performance of collaborative microwave ranging technology is studied;(2) The key technology of high precision distance measuring system is studied. A new microwave forwarding technology based on the digital intermediate or baseband frequency is proposed. Besides, high-precision measurement of phase difference and resolution of the ambiguity in phase ranging are studied;(3) Based on the research of the key technology of high precision microwave distance measurement, landslide monitoring system based on microwave ranging is designed. Starting from the demand, combined with the practical application of landslide monitoring, the overall scheme of the landslide monitoring system is designed, include the key parameters of the system, the functional block diagram of transponder and interrogator, the system working timing. Based on the designment, the ranging performance of landslide monitoring system is analyzed in theory and simulation;(4) A principle authentication system of high precision distance measurement based on digital baseband transmission technology is developed, and an experimental scheme is formulated.The experiment is carried out. The result verifies the feasibility of digital baseband forwarding technology, and validates the ranging performance of the high-precision distance measurement technology.
