Research On FME-based Approach To Harmonizing Land Utilization Data At Different Periods

Land resource is the material basis for human survival and development. It is an important resource and is one of the basic elements of statehood.True and accurate survey data of land use is the premise of scientific management and effective utilization of land and resources.Second national land survey work had been conducted in our country. Land data which were collected and storaged in different periods had its own standards. Different periods of land differences mainly displayed in the four aspects such as coordinate system, data format, mode structure, the difference of data instance.Because of these differences, different periods of land datas were difficult to achieve in terms of compatibility and data sharing. In order to solve this problem,through studying the Whuan land data in different periods, it clarified the differences in different periods of land data type and form of expression, the overall process which could eliminate the differences were based on FME.This method was the efficient way in data processing, it was good for land management, at the same time it provided technology support for follow-up data processing.The article mainly from the following several aspects had carried on the research work.(1) It studied and analyzed the differences of different period land data, the differences in coordinate systems, the differences in data format, the differences in structure model, the differences in land coding standards and the expressions forms of four types.(2) It studied and analyzed the conversion method between different format data and the advantages and disadvantages, FME software component modules and the principle, unctions and application methods of all kinds of converters which were used for data processing.(3) It studied and analyzed the data processing method which was based on FME software and embedded software MyFME for converting the land data of different periods, and then summed up the different period of land data consistent processing workflow.(4)Planar graph about the present situation of land use in Wuhan city in different periods spot data were analyzed in the experiment based on FME, the experimentalresults showed that this method could quickly and efficiently eliminate the differences between land use data at different times.
