Insert backup roller is a branch of forging steel backup roller, the roller with goodtoughness is not easy to break, while its hardness and wear resistance is high, so it has agood comprehensive mechanical properties. As the roll core can be repeatedly used, it cansave a lot of money of buying rollers. The application of cold rolling combined supportingroller in our country is just starting, many aspects of theoretical research are not perfect.Seting up a mathematic model of the combined stress distribution inside the supportingroller is the premise of preventing the stress exceeds the maximum yield limit andreducing the stress distribution of the premise and is also the problem that making thenormal work of the supporting roller and improving the combination support roller lifeneed to solve. It can provide the theory for composite support roller production guidance.Internal stress in the Combined supporting roller is the result of interference fit, rollforce and roll bending force, so the distribution of internal stress is very complex. Here weadopt a method called distributed computing. It discrete the combined backup roller to ncake units, to calculate the value of stress outside the unit fist, and the value of stressinside the unit secondly. In this paper, we took the first frame of baogang1220coldrolling league unit as the background and typical specifications strip as an example, basicresearch contents are as follows:First of all, by the material mechanics method, we can obtain the distribution field ofthe insert backup roller shear force and bending moment, and get the axial normal stresscaused by the bending moment and the distribution of friction between the roller shell androller core.By the method of mechanics of elasticity, we obtain plane stress distribution ofeach unit. The influence law of bending moment on the stress are analyzed, whichprovides the theoretical foundation for determining the optimal bending moment.Secondly, we obtain strain and equivalent distribution and discuss the influence ofdifferent bending force on strain and equivalent stress distribution are discussed in thispaper.Finally, took the first frame of baogang1220cold rolling league unit as the background and typical specifications strip as an example. With the help of finite elementsoftware Abaqus, we have established two-dimension and three-dimensional modelsimulation, draw out the stress, strain and displacement distribution pour. Through thecomparison of numerical results and the theoretical model results, verify the theoreticalmodel of the established precision, prove its practical value.
