| In the background of the current socio-economic rapid development, through theexploitation of natural mineral resources utilized to achieve rapid booming nationaleconomy, it will inevitably lead to conflicts between natural resources reserves andproduction requirements. For the ironmaking industry, the large-scale and smeltingintensity of blast furnace make the quality of coke increasingly demanding. However,the high-quality coking coal resources in China are quite limited, deepening theconflicts between industrial economy and resource scarcity. In this regard, proposedapplications with non-coking coal, which have relatively abundant reserves, to coalblending for coking test and implement industrial production, has great significance forsolve this problem and achieve sustainable economic development.This paper aim at the modification treatment of non-coking coal, the non-cakingbituminous coal and anthracite, to make this two kinds of non-coking coal have cokingcharacteristic. Based on the plastic mechanism of coking and the principle of hydrogensupply, the modification mechanism of a pulverized coal modifier (ZBS) which isindependent development on the anthracite and bituminous coal, has been studiedthrough the XRD detection method and elemental analysis detection method. Appliedthe coal petrography theory, determine the best reactive-inert componet radio used to asthe scientific guidance of coking blend. The4.3m coke oven industrial test haveachieved with an amount of more than10%non-coking coal was added, and the qualityof coke is up to standard. Through experimental study, the following conclusions can bedrawn:①Propose a new idea of modified non-coking coal to coking. Solve the problemsthat non-caking coal and anthrancite have no caking and coking property, and make thenon-coking coal can be used to coking blend.②Describes the interaction mechanism of ZBS modified the non-coking coal. Onthe one hand, the ZBS modifiers can change the crystal structure and the degree ofgraphitization of coal, resulting in an increase of its active sites. On the other hand, theZBS has a role of supply hydrogen, either a single species or a mixture of non-cokingcoal, after ZBS modified, the hydrogen content increases and the C/H ratio is lowered, itmeans that the molecular structure of coal has changed.③According to the coal petrography theory and characteristics of the coal used in Nanjing Iron&Steel Co., Ltd, put forward the best reactive-inert componet radio isabout2.53, and that can serve as the scientific guidance of coking blend.④Broke through the limitation that the proportion of non-coking coal should notexceed5%in conventional coke oven method. The proportion of anthracite andnon-caking coal have achieved more than10%in the coking blend of industrial test, andthe quality of coke reached the standard of second class metallurgical coke.⑤The successful of non-coking coal modified to coking in industrial test, providea new method to save a high-quality coking coal resources and reduce the coke costs forthe Nanjing Iron&Steel Co., Ltd. |
