The hot pots in China are various, such as Spicy Hot Pot in Sichuan Province,which is spicy and fragrant, well-known around the world; Peking Instantly-boiledMutton in Hot Pot is particular in its taste and very refreshing; Seafood Hot Pot andPork Bone Hot Pot in Guangdong Province are not oily but fresh and delicious;besides, Chongqing Double-flavored Hot Pot, Pork Hot Pot in north-eastern part ofChina, Hangzhou Three-flavored Hot Pot, Hubei Game Hot Pot, Hong kong Beef HotPot, Shanghai Mixed Meat Hotpot, Henan Stewed Mutton Hotpot,etc, are also verytasty and enjoy the favor of the customers. As an eating way, the hot pot is not solelyembraced in Chongqing, and it’s widespread throughout the whole country and evenabroad but only Chongqing Hot Pot is renowned around the world. Having Startedfrom the dock culture and gradually established the particular brand of Chongqing,Chongqing Hotpot, born in the common surrounding, has given birth to a parade ofbrands, as are powerful in their fame and expand their businesses out of China, suchas Dezhuang, Xiao Tian’e, Qinma, etc. But some restraints are still exist in theirbrand developing and marketing, and especially for Chongqing Hotpot, its brandimage, brand culture components and brand promoting have a long way to go.Nowadays, the fame of Chongqing Hotpot has gained a dramatic leap compared withits past state; but compared with the foreign fast-food brands, Macdonald, KRC,Pizza Hut, etc, it still lags far behind. These weak points still need the efforts of therelated persons in theory and practice to overcome and learn from the foreignfast-food brands modestly so that they can develop their advantages and avoid theirdisadvantages to boost the brand of Chongqing Hot Pot to a more ideal level.Currently, the design of hot pot tableware is still in the wanting of attentionhome and abroad, and according to the related literature, the researchers haveattached more importance to it from the perspective of cuisine, but the researchliterature on the tableware is very rare. Seen from the evolution of hot pot tableware,the structures of the traditional one are mainly hollow-centered andintegral-structured and the modern one should combine the improvement of the above two structures; the design of hot pot tableware should focus more on the developmentof new functions in hot pots, and the creation of the application of the traditionaldecoration elements, strengthen the application of the traditional hot pot culture,melt enough local culture and pay more attention to the metaphoric design, etc. Onlyin this way can the hot pot tableware favored more by the customers be developedout.
