Welding Technology are widely used in the shaping of Stainless Steel Thin-walled partsbecause of its high strength connection, good airtight and large applicability. But the strengthand resistance to fatigue of the welded joint will decrease because of the stress in the weldedseam when welding, for the good mechanical properties of the welded parts, the weld seamare needed to polish. In current, the polishing of the weld seam of the Thin-walled parts aremainly using grinding by hand, the processing efficiency is low, and the surface quality ishard to control. In base of a cover of one kind gas oven, the research of High-speed Millingand the machined surface quality for the polishing of spatial curved surface weld seam ofstainless steel Thin-walled parts are in this paper. The study will include the following mainaspects:1. According to the contour of the weld seam, the High-speed Milling system of thespatial curved surface weld seam was conducted to develop. The feed movement system, thecontrol system, the fixture system of the curved surface Thin-walled parts and the spindlesystem are designed and achieved. The cutlery path planning of the spatial curved surfaceweld seam is conduc ted on the basis of the cutlery radius compensation and DDAinterpolation algorithm. According to the deformation of the Thin-walled Parts, the vectorconcept is used to analysis the kind of the cutlery radius compensation, the machined surfaceroughness is1~2μm.2. The Influences of the milling parameters on the surface roughness are discussedbased on the single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment method, and the empiricalprediction model is established, the excellent milling parameters are obtained. For thereasonable choice of the milling parameters in the actual processing, the influences of theinteraction of the milling parameters on the surface roughness are also discussed.3. The Influences of the different milling parameters on the surface hardening arediscussed, the hardening extent and hardened layer depth of the machined surface are findedout, in the selection of the milling parameters of the spindle speed n=9000~21000r/min、thefeed rate vf=600~3000mm/min and the cutting depth ah=0.1~0.5mm, the hardeningextent is100~300μm, and the hardened layer depth is120%~135%. 4. The morphology of the machined surface section are studied by SEM, the result showsthat a obvious deformation layer appears in the machined surface after high speed milling theweld seam, in the deformation layer, a distortion of the crystal grain appears, the crystallattice occurs slippage, the phase structure occurs density, and some corrosion pits are seen inthe surface layer. For the study of the high speed milling used to machine the curved surface weld seam ofthe stainless steel Thin-walled parts in this paper, we can see that, in the use of the high speedmilling technology, the processing efficiency of weld seam removing can be increasesubstantially, and a good surface quality can be obtained, the workload of the follow-up finepolishing can be greatly reduced.
