Taiyuan Ecological Footprint Calculation And Analysis

Vigorously promote the construction of ecological civilization, coordinating therelationship between economic development and population, resources, environment,and has great significance for the sustainable development of the region. Taiyuan isthe energy market, over-reliance on coal and the worsening ecological environmenthave become serious problems facing sustainable development in Taiyuan.Ecological footprint analysis since the1990s have been proposed, has become animportant method for the level of sustainable development internationally acceptedquantitative assessment.In this paper, the ecological footprint model Taiyuan2003,2009,2011per capitaecological footprint per capita ecological capacity and ecological deficit calculation,the results showed:(1) Taiyuan2003,2009and2011per capita ecological footprint was5.693hm2/person,6.224hm2/person,6.957hm2/person, about3.8,4,4.6times the nationalaverage. From2003to2011, the per capita ecological footprint Taiyuan show anincreasing trend, mainly due to the fossil fuels coal energy to occupy the ecologicalfootprint in increments.(2) Taiyuan2003,2009,2011per capita ecological capacity was0.265hm2/person,0.278hm2/person,0.309hm2/person, lower than the national4.9hm2/person level. The most productive arable land bearing capacity to withstand more thanhalf of production.(3) The per capita ecological deficit Taiyuan2003,2009,2011respectively5.429hm2/person,5.946hm2/person6.648hm2/person, and increases every year,more than the global average of0.4hm2/person, respectively, higher than the12,15and16times. Taiyuan is a serious ecological overshoot of the state, its developmentmainly relies on resource consumption.(4) The ecological footprint of fossil energy in the coal energy is occupied74%,respectively, of the overall ecological footprint,79%,84%. Higher energyconsumption is to increase coal energy major factor in Taiyuan person ecologicaldeficit. (5) Million GDP ecological footprint Show: from2003to2009and then in2011,Taiyuan energy efficiency has improved to some extent, but the ecological pressureindex remains high, the long-term in a very insecure state, and increasing year by yearecological security situation is not optimistic.(6) Taiyuan ecological footprint diversity index and development capacitydeclining.For analysis, combined with the previous model of development in Taiyuan,make relevant policy recommendations for sustainable development in Taiyuan, inorder to improve the level of sustainable development in Taiyuan.
