Equal height tooth spiral bevel gears:the sub-cone along the tooth from the big end to the small end are equaled, type of these gears the root angle, pitch cone angle and face angle are equaled, but from the big end to the small end the width of the gear is gradually decreased.Equal height tooth logarithmic spiral bevel gears whose tooth line using the logarithmic spiral, compared with the Gleason system tapered and Oerlikon system constant-depth,which helix angle in the direction of tooth length equal everywhere. Therefore, the degree of overlap and transmission smooth can be improved, operating noise can be reduced.Our group has been studied the form tapered of logarithmic spiral bevel gears tooth on tooth surface equation,gear meshing theory, principles of tooth formation. Meanwhile, in order to better improve the existing gear and compare the performance of different tooth system to further understand the advantages and disadvantages of logarithmic spiral in engineering use. This text learned some good tips from the past research and combine the cycloid bevel gear geometric design method and milling principle, the research on equal height tooth logarithmic spiral bevel gear can be listed as follows:1.From the basic definition of equal height tooth, application Pro/E3D modeling software, using the conical logarithmic spiral as the tooth line created three-dimensional meshed models of equal height tooth logarithmic spiral bevel gears, at the same time resolved the problem-the small end of the addendum narrow in the process of creating three-dimensional model;2. Because of the tooth line on the logarithmic spiral bevel gear is particularity, so we can only choose the CNC machining (Traditional machine tools need to reform), Combined with established three-dimensional model finally to determine the processing methods. In this part, selected about gears, which include processing materials, accuracy of gear,surface roughness and machining clamp and cutting tools;3.The established Pro/E model into Siemens UG8.5, using the CAM function simulation the equal height tooth logarithmic spiral bevel gears tool path. Through the virtual processing verifies the correctness of the selected calculation parameters.Under the parameters of the correct premise that use of Siemens NX software, through UGPOST this post-processor for DMU50NC program. Finally, on CNC machining centers gear cutting test, completed equal height tooth logarithmic spiral bevel gears processing.
