The furnace bottom machinery is the important part of the furnace, the water beam is the main load-bearing parts which is the key to step into the furnace design. It is vital for us to apply the finite element technique to analyze the dynamic characteristics and to evaluate the vibration characteristic.It is easy to know the possible stress and distortion of the walking beam and recognize the inherence vibration model in body designing through the finite element analysis.Furthermore,it would bring us dramatic effect in many aspects,especially in losses of the weight,reducing the construction cost and operation energy consumption.In this paper,taking a walking-beam-type reheating furnace for example.Based on the two-dimensional CAD construction drawings,the geometric model of the walking-beam-type reheating furnace is established by Pro/E software, and then imported into WORKBENCH software to analyze after a reasonable simplification.In the process of analysis, the model not only involves treatments of boundary condition,simplified treatment of some skeleton parts,but also consider the typical operation situations,such as the walk beam put up the billets in the process of rising,the walk beam speed ahead after it rise the billets. The calculation of dynamic analysis of walking-beam's structure is expatiated.In order to analyse the dynamic characteristic of the walk beam structure,the natural frequencies had been calculated and had got the body inherent frequency and the corresponding vibration model.From the dynamic analysis of the walk beam,it is found that the stress of walk beam is uneven, external walk beam significantly greater than the internal beam, so the internal walk beams is can designed lighter.Through the simulation analysis contrast, the best specifications used on the walk beam is choosed.The weight of the walk beam reduced about10%, at the same time the light walk beam can reduce the energy consumption in the process of operation.
