Over recent decades, the Titanium alloy has been used for different areas includingaeronautics and astronautics due to their high strength-to-weight ratios, low density anderosion resistance. However, the processing technology of Titanium alloy is verycomplicated for its high deformation resistance, this leads to high cost of its use and it isdifficult for its development. This paper is about plate rolling simulation and researchbased on TC4alloy’s properties, and it provides the theoretical basis for titanium alloyplate rolling. The main research content is as follows:(1) Establish the phase transformation kinetics model of TC4titanium alloy. Get theDSC curves of TC4alloy during continuous cooling process and thermal expansion curvesof phase change during instant temperature by using DSC experiment instrument and theGleeble-3500thermal simulation testing machine, by combining the Avrami equation withexperimental data, the phase transformation kinetics model of TC4titanium alloy isestablished. The model is accurate due to the good agreement between the modelingresults and measured curves.(2) Establish the flow stress model of TC4titanium alloy considering phase change.The flow stress curves of TC4titanium alloy under different conditions are measured byusing Gleeble-3500thermal simulation testing machine, combining with the phasetransformation kinetics model of TC4titanium alloy, the flow stress model consideringphase change has been established. The model is accurate due to its low error bycomparing the calculated results with experimental data.(3) Establish the thermodynamic coupling model of TC4titanium alloy during rollingprocess. By combining the flow stress model, the rolling force model and the model oftemperature field, the thermodynamic coupling model of TC4titanium alloy during rollingprocess has been established, the simulation results of rolling processing is get byprogramming and calculating.The rolling process of TC4alloy is very complicated, this paper combines thetraditional rolling theory with TC4alloy’s properties, simulate the rolling process oftitanium alloy, get the related conclusions which is as follows: (1) Low thermal conductivity of TC4titanium alloy is the main causes of hightemperature difference between surface and center of rolled piece.(2) The degree of phase tranformation near surface of rolled piece is higer than centerbecause the temperature of surface drops apparently.(3) The flow stress of TC4titanium alloy changes obviously in rolling process, thishas a large effect on temperature field.
