In recent years, the main greenhouse gas carbon dioxide generated by energyuse, global warming caused by the greenhouse effect that environmental problemshave gradually received wide attention of the community. Currently, reducegreenhouse gases produced by human activities, especially the concentration ofcarbon dioxide development model, has become the consensus of all countries to dealwith environmental issues, the transition to a low carbon world economy has becomea trend. According to the data show that in2009China surpassed the U.S. carbondioxide emissions, has become the world’s largest national carbon dioxide emissions. With the acceleration of urbanization process in China, the pace of developmenttowns, population, energy consumption and the industrial structure and so a directimpact on the effect of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, it will inevitably becomea national low-carbon development focus. China ’s urbanization and industrializationprocess basic synchronization, and the development of industrialization in generalalong with the rapid development of high energy-consuming industries, which alsomeans that resources and energy consumption is rapidly increasing, and thereforeaccelerate the speed of urbanization and economic development to China resources, the environment has brought a lot of pressure.Underdeveloped areas as Northwest China, Gansu Province, although the levelof economic, urban development, compared with other provinces in the country, isstill relatively backward, but in recent years, the rapid economic and socialdevelopment in Gansu province, the level of urbanization is also apparent speed ofdevelopment of various cities and towns elements put forward higher requirements.Gansu Province is in the acceleration phase of industrialization, urbanization, rapiddevelopment, energy demand continues to increase, and the characteristics oftheenergy consumption structure in Gansu Province, a major coal-based, followed bya rapid increase in carbon dioxide emissions. How to achieve low-carbondevelopment path of Gansu Province in the industrialization and urbanization in thedevelopment process, Gansu Province in the development of energy-saving and emission reduction has become a hot topic of concern.Taking Gansu Province as an example, the first departure from the common lawtheories of urbanization and development, comparative analysis of Gansu Province, the development process of urbanization, energy consumption and analyze the statusof the last two decades, Gansu Province, the status quo and industrial carbon dioxideemissions structural developments. Secondly, the use of collected data andinformation, choose to expand the randomness of the Environmental ImpactAssessment (STIRPAT) model of urban carbon emissions related factors wereanalyzed in Gansu Province decomposition results urbanization in Gansu Provinceeach factor impact on carbon dioxide emissions, the findings show that the impact ofeach factor on the town in Gansu Province carbon emissions are having a positiveeffect, and the existence of environmental Kuznets curve. Finally, the results of thecorresponding model fitting proposed policy recommendations to ensure thatlow-carbon development path of Gansu Province in the process of urbanization in thefuture.
