In the1990’s, the machine tool industry of our country has entered into a newera of the NC symbol. As the development of the automobile, steamship, engineeringmachinery, military industry and the aerospace industry, requirements of the gearprocessing efficiency, machining precision and processing quality is constantimproving. Especially for the requirement of the machine tool of processing the smallmodule of0.5-2mm of the straight tooth, helical tooth and rack barrel is more andmore precision. Therefore, develop the high speed and efficient small module of theCNC gear hobbing machine to meet the needs of the machinery industry in our countryhas become very urgent. The mainly research content of this article is:1.According to the demand of the customer, the article started with the marketresearching and proposed the general requirement of design of the small module of theCNC gear hobbing machine; on this basis, analyzed the overall layout of the smallmodule of the CNC gear hobbing machine and designed the main parameter.2.It analyzed the motorized spindle in hand to adapt to the requirement of thesmall modulus of high-speed CNC gear hobbing machine, and designed a new kind ofmotorized spindle structure to solve the insufficient efficiency and machining accuracyof the small module gear hobbing machine in previous.3.The weakness of high-speed CNC gear hobbing machine is Z axis wasequipped with tool post and rotary table, the deformation of which will directly affectthe final precision and efficiency of gear machining. This paper carried out the forceanalysis of the guide rail, providing theoretical foundation for selection of Z axis guiderail. It conducted the static analysis and modal analysis of the ball screw of Z axis byusing the finite element method, by which it found out the main cause of sympatheticvibration of the small module of CNC gear hobbing machine and also put forward the solution.4. By using the control system of GOOGOLTECH Company, it accomplishedthe experiment of matching the speed of hob spindle and workpiece spindle.The main conclusions drew from this article are: horizontal layout and direct-drive zero transmission structure should be used in small modulus of high-speed CNCgear hobbing machine; the usage of hydrostatic bearing can reduce the influence ofelectric spindle on machining accuracy caused by hot deformation and improve themachining accuracy of machine tool and rotary accuracy; through analyzing theinfluence of bearing stiffness on the static stiffness of ball screw and vibrationdeformation, we reach a conclusion that it can improve the inherent frequency of ballscrew and avoid the resonance region by using the right bearing configuration andenhance the stiffness and damping of the supporting; the experiments show the speedmatching curve of small modulus CNC gear hobbing machine, which laid thetheoretical and trial foundation for developing and researching of the small modulehobbing machine.
