Since the1990s, the extensive mode of development of SMEs has not suited tothe contemporary economic and social development and enterprise requirements tobecome a major development, circular economy, intensive development model,operating the mechanism of eco-management has become inevitable to achievesustainable development of SME’s choice. The total number of SMEs in China haveaccounted for more than99%of the total number of enterprises. How to change thedevelopment model of small and medium-sized enterprises which is extensive andcostly is a strategic question to economic and social sustainable development in all-round way. In this thesis, the eco-management development model for small andmedium-sized enterprises in our country is selected as a research object. Take thematerial production process as the main content of SME’s activities into a largeecosystem with using modern ecological transformation and restructuring of SMEs’economic structure, to achieve a virtuous cycle of large ecosystems and get asustainable development. That also has important theoretical and practicalsignificance with promoting our country’s comprehensive, coordinated andsustainable economic and social development.This article defines the concept of ecological management and SME withsummarizing the literature, modeling the process and case studies to ensure thetargeted research in the background of eco-management mechanism for SMEs. Onthe basis of a comprehensive analysis of the ecological management of the enterprisein theory, first of all, the thesis analyze the status quo of ecological management ofSME development in-depth, with summing up the problem in a comprehensiveecological management of SMEs encountered in the process, the get a brief inquiry onthe internal mechanism of its operational mechanism to ensure feasibility study. Secondly,it analyze the necessity and feasibility of ecological management of SMEsbased on the actual situation and the situation of ecological management in China,then proceed analysis of the operation mechanism of ecological management of SMEsin theory to get the factors affecting SMEs’ ecological management; through furtheranalysis, thesis build the business models of operating mechanism by studying themechanism of mutual cooperation between the various elements and conclude thecorresponding implementation strategy; Finally, taking ecological managementprocess of Shandong Lubei Chemical Co.. for example, the thesis analyze mutualcooperation among the elements in the operating mechanism process and its feasibleand effective operation policy.Through the research and analysis, the thesis draws some basic conclusions:Eco-management is the inevitable choice of China’s SME development. Ecologicalmanagement for SMEs is the best long-term development of mechanisms to promoteeco-efficiency of economic, social, and ultimately economic development; throughthe analysis of ecological management about the actual situation of SMEs in China,the eco-management mechanism mainly constitute the internal and external elements;So, the operational mechanism of ecological management of SMEs should improveinternal and external mechanisms from the start to get a long-term development.Strengthening of external mechanisms which is good at supporting the efforts is thebest way to improve the business innovation and eco-consciousness in the enterprise.The internal management mechanism which can promote the realization of SME’secological management fundamentally will go well by the operational mechanism.Summarily, the Implementation of ecological management in SMEs comprehensivelyis conducive to saving resources, protecting the environment and achieving acoordinated and sustainable economic and social development.
