Marx’ s ecological view regards harmonious coexistence of man and nature as themain object. It not only explains the role that people play in nature, but also deeplyanalyses the essential relation and practical form between them. His theory contains richecological connotation reflected in the process of examining capitalist mode ofproduction and society. His ecological view is an ecological concept revolution as theresult of the proletariat revolutionary and critically inheriting historical philosophyespecially of Hagel and Feuerbach. Its theoretical foundation can be traced to Germanclassical philosophy and natural science is the objective condition. Marx’ s ecologicalview thinks of the human liberation as the ultimate goal. It has provided valuable thoughtresources for reexamining the relation between human and nature and keeping themharmonious. It set up a new thinking path for human beings to solve the ecological crisisand has a long meaning for the ecological civilization construction in the new days andScientific Outlook on Development. Therefore, consciously regard Marx’ s ecology as ourguidance is very beneficial for the development of economy, ecological civilization andsocial stabilization. This article is to describe the ecological thoughts of Marx from three parts:the firstpart illustrates it has reflected and criticised modern western ecological view. Marxcriticized Hagel’ s objective idealism view for cutting apart the relation between man andnature and Feuerbach’ shumanism in nature. The second part discusses Marx’ s ecological view formed and developed in practiceon basis of the previous thoughts. Hagel’ s thoughts which contains the negativedialectics and Feuerbach materialism referenced by Marx. He also pointed out that manand nature are not only mutual dependent and linked to each other, they are also a unifiedin practice. Marx thought communism society would be the unity of man and nature, thatis to say, only in the Communist society, the unity of man and nature can really becomepossible. People can develop fully and freely. The third part has an internal analysis in capitalist society. Labor was alienated. Thealienation of labor caused the separation of labor and capital, labor and land. Naturebecame a object for people to slave and exploit. This separation caused human’ s activities and ability one-sided and deformed. People can not develop comprehensivelyin society. The fourth part discusses the contemporary significance of the theory. It canimprove our understanding in theory and can guide us in practice.
