In recent years, Researchers tend to "high power and good stability" for study of emulsion explosive at home and abroad. Especially, to study the effects of additives on the properties of emulsion explosive, we add some additives in emulsion explosive. In this paper, from this point of view, on this dispute whether adding ammonium perchlorate(AP) in emulsion explosive, we conduct a series of studies on emulsion explosive adding AP, including formulation design, theoretical calculation of detonation parameters, analysis of thermal stability by using C80, and finally gives the production feasibility design. Through these researches, we can draw a conclusion:(1) In the formula design of emulsion explosive, we should fully consider the design principles including zero oxygen balance.(2) To add a certain amount of AP in emulsion explosive, it could improve the heat of explosion, explosion temperature and detonation velocity, reduce the volume of detonation about emulsion explosive. Finally, the explosion parameters of dynamite achieve good value and improve the explosion properties.(3) Through the analysis of the test results of C80micro calorimeter, we could find for AN, The transition temperature of Orthorhombic crystals (Ⅳ) to orthorhombic crystals (III) is35.42℃; The transition temperature of Orthorhombic crystals (Ⅳ) to orthorhombic crystals (Ⅱ) is60.76℃; The transitioThe transition temperature of Orthorhombic crystals (Ⅲ) to orthorhombic crystals (Ⅱ) is85.33℃; the temperature of Orthorhombic crystals (Ⅱ) to Cubic crystal (Ⅲ) is118.39℃;At the same time, we find that AP can catalyze the thermal decomposition of emulsion explosives but the effect is not obvious; The activation energy can reach the standards for the safety of emulsion explosive containing AP.(4) Manufacturing feasibility design of emulsion explosive containing AP, including market research, analysis of energy consumption, equipment selection, cost estimation, and gives the drawings of the factory plane and workshop, and certain analysis of economic, we can make sure that, at present, the production of emulsion explosive containing AP by Continuous emulsification is a certain social and economic benefits.In a word, Emulsion explosive containing AP has good thermal stability, excellent Explosion ability, considerable economic benefits. It can be used as a theoretical reference about considering adding a certain amount of AP in the emulsion explosive production process.
