The coiler is a very important auxiliary equipment in hot rolling production. It isgenerally located at the end of the hot strip mill production line and helps to collect andcoil long strip which makes the transportation and storage easier. It’s noted that thecoiling process of the coiler is very complex. Only obtain the variation of each kinds ofmoment, can it be able to calculate the total load of the drum driving motor. Thus thekey parameters can be get which can help the designers make a reasonable selection onthe working motors and check the equipment capacity.(1)According to the variation of each moment,derive a reasonable calculationmethod,establish coiling process kinetic equations. Use coiling diameter and thevariation of strip tension as input,use coiling torque as output,then modeling andsimulation using Simulink,simulate the coiling process. Input parameters of a type ofthe strip,we can obtained the variation of torque in the whole coiling process and thetime when maximum torque is generated.(2)Through analysising the coiling technology and process,we can determine themain factors affecting the maximum moment of coiling. Using PDA data as trainingsamples,established BP neural network and dynamic fuzzy neural network model,setinitial parameters,used strip thickness,width,yield strength and the coiling temperatureas the input of network,then predicted the maximum coiling torque value of reelrespectively and compared the prediction of two models,analyzed their characteristics.The background of this topic is the actual project,research and predict the maximumcoiling torque using the above method,grasp carrying capacity of coiling units,andconduct quantitative analysis and evaluation for the ability of the coiling capacity ofunits,provides a theoretical basis for the production of ultra high-strength steel.
