With the rapid development of economy in our country, the status of mineral resources in the national economy is becoming higher and higher.National demand for mineral resources is also increasing. Currently, the shallow resources are being depleted, mining depth is increasing. Because of deep roadway deformation under the action of high ground stress is serious, the supporting problem has become the current focus of the study of rock mechanics and mining areas.Jin-chuan Nickel Mine is the largest copper-nickel sulfide mineral in China. In recent years, with the increase of mining depth, the deep roadway deformation problem is more and more serious. Because the rock present obvious creep characteristic,after excavation,the initial deformation is large, and present long-time deformation characteristics. Generally, roadway repair period is three months,frequent repair project has brought great difficulties for the normal production and operation of the mine. In this paper, the support problems of Jin-chuan had been as the research object and launched a series of studies for rheological deformation of surrounding rock under high stress.1. Through the field survey,the deformation law of surrounding rock and support system failure modes have been in-depth understanding.2. The loosen zone of roadway was tested by acoustic test method,and finally the depth of loosen zone was defined by interpreting and analyzing the test data. According to test results, determine the minimum length of cable which enough to can break into stable rock formations.Then,combined with the roadway failure mode, the length bolt-U shaped steel-steel beams coupling supporting method is proposed.3. Based on the creep test data of typical rock samples,determine the rheological model which suitable to describe the rheological characteristics of typical rock samples. Using C++language for secondary development, and the model was validated.4. According to the actual size of the roadway established a numerical model of roadway in study area.The roadway deformation of non-support, regular support and long bolt-U shaped steel-steel beams support has been calculated. The security analysis method that considering shear and tensile damage is used to analyze the security situation of surrounding rocks under different support method. And then, combined with the deformation condition and convergence monitoring data to prove the feasibility of the scheme which can maintain the long-term stability of roadway.5. Based on jinchuan deep roadway support engineering, research the deformation law of surrounding rock and failure modes of support system. Combining with the loose zone test of deep roadway, the coupling support method was proposed. Through combination of numerical analysis and field tests, analysis the effect of optimize support method. Both numerical simulation and field test have proved that the optimized support can achieve good supporting effect, research results have good application value and reference value.
