Some kinds of special property request can be reached by designing and controling the micro structure of special cold-resistant rubber. The research work in this dissertation encompasses two parts. The first project is the development of rubber blend with high back-elasticity in low temperature. The second project is the development of polyacrylate rubber with easy-working and cold-resistant property.The goal of the first part research is to manufacture one kind of rubber blend with high back-elasticity in low temperature. The BR/SBR system is one of the most promising rubber blends to get this goal. After researching on the ratio of BR/SBR and the other factors, the point focuses on processing. With this idea, BR/SBR rubber blend is manufactured through special mixing technology. The property testing proves the back-elasticity in low temperature has been improved successfully. Broaden the research area and apply this idea on the other kinds of rubber blend such as BR/NR, BR/NBR, BR/EPDM, BR/NBR, BR/NR/SBR systems. The same results came out. With this special processing technology, the back-elasticity can be improved more than20%.In the second part, the goal is to improve the polyacrylate rubber’s cold-resistant property and processing property without or with little drawdown of its good oil-resistant property. Therefore two monomers which have low glass transition temperature and good oil-resistant property were synthesized. Then it was reacted with other acrylates by emulsion polymerization to synthesize acrylic rubber. At the same time, crosslinking agent was introduced into copolymerization system. By emulsion polymerization polyacrylate rubber with micro-crosslinking structure was prepared. The property testing proves the processing property has been improved successfully through this technology. The acquired micro-crosslinked polyacrylate rubber combines the good oil-resistant property and the good cold-resistant property with the good processing behavior.
