In recent years, the trend of the development of the domestic aluminum electrolytic cell toward large-scale more and more significant, aluminum electrolytic cell capacity is60ka development from the1960s to the present500ka, even600ka project under construction, current efficiency is as high as95%, the automation level of electrolyzer, daily maintenance control technology is also improved. But tons of aluminum consumption decline is not large, the current domestic aluminum electrolytic dc power consumption still hovers around13000~13500KWH/T-Al, energy efficiency is less than50%.To that end, countries established early in2009by the "adjust the revitalization of non-ferrous metals industry planning", on the one hand, to restore and promote the revitalization of non-ferrous metals industry; On the other hand, encourage research and development on major energy saving technology, especially in the aluminum electrolysis aspects will target aluminium the direct current consumption dropped to below12000KWH, and clearly pointed out that in the next three years, the national aluminum electrolytic aluminium industry to an average of the direct current consumption fell to12500KWH/t-Al, as one of the upcoming aluminum industry access conditions.Planning, further stimulated the domestic electrolytic aluminium enterprises in new craft, new technology research and development, test and cathode boride titanium coating technology, Yin and Yang alignment technology, control level of current technology, the structure of the new type of cathode electrolyzer technology get heavy use.A large number of studies have shown that by changing the way, cathode and anode aluminum reduction cell’s structure, perfecting the electrolytic control process is to achieve the main ways to greatly reduce the power consumption of aluminum electrolysis. This article focuses on the cathode carbon block assembly way, mainly from the aluminum electric phosphate-solubilizing carbon block structure of pig iron casting technology development; Heating process and heating equipment development; Casting speed and pouring equipment development; Cooling process and cooling device development, and the corresponding implementation and guarantee, strive to achieve:1), access to large pre-baked aluminium electrolytic cell with graphite cathode carbon block mass phosphorus iron casting technology;2), to achieve large-scale pre-baked aluminium electrolytic cell with graphite cathode carbon block mass industrialization of phosphorus iron casting production. Phosphorus iron casting cathode quality requirements:cathode carbon block does not produce cracks in the process of casting and cooling, no obvious oxidation surface of cathode carbon block, cathode carbon block with steel cathode ohm pressure drop is less than25mv (TD100meter testing), product qualification rate reached99%.
