Our country coal resource reserves in the world, especially the thick coal reserves is extremely rich, thick coal resources safety, efficient mining for coal demand and realize the sustainable development of coal industry is of great significance. Large mining height fully mechanized mining in China has been a good application, become the main development direction of thick seam mining.In this paper,4304working face in Changping Mine as the engineering background, using live rock pressure monitoring, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation combining means, for large mining Mechanized Mining conducted the following research:(1) The theory of key strata is used to research the structure of the overlying strata. There are three key stratas in the overlying strata of4304coal face. Through theoretical calculations show that the direct roof caving distance,roof first weighting step, and the roof pressure, and use the FLAC3D to simulate the working face roof failure situation and stress distribution.(2) Field measurement of the face by a large number of initial pressure step and periodic weighting step and analyze the roof to crush strength. By observing the forces stent, the stent design is reasonable analysis, including support working resistance, setting load meets the roof support requirements. Understanding and knowledge of a reasonable roadway advance support measures in the mining process of mining coal and coal pillar ahead of the scope, intensity, in order to determine.(3) For Changping Mine,under high horizontal stress large cross section along the bottom roadway is difficult to support the status quo, through stress testing, drilling peep, numerical simulation methods such as roadway roof rock failure analysis. According to the analysis of the conclusions, put forward43042roadway along the top layout support programs, and by setting the station measured surface displacement, roof separation, rock-bolt dynamometer and other methods,its stability were analyzed to verify the43042roadway programs reasonable.Results of this study may be the direct guidance of Changping Mine thick seam coal mining safety and efficient, and provide reference for similar studies face underground pressure.
