With the higher mining height and bigger section size,the roof and side walls mayhave a serious deformation and move towards each other for a large scale when theroadway is affected by the mining activities,this is a limitation to the mining efficientand production,so it’s necessary to study the control of roadway surrounding rock witha higher mining height.The paper combines the actual measured geo data of YiDe Mine,uses the theoryanalysis and numerical simulation,to study the regularity of roof collapse and themining pressure,the characteristics and influence factors of deformation of side walls,the mechanism of anchor stocks,and the mechanism,the patterns,the controlsmanners of floor heave. Base on the study,the support plan is modified and the finalresults are show as follow:(1) A model of overlying strata is created,different situations are analyzed whenthe rock is under different stress,based on that,the regularity of overlying stratacollapse is analyzed and the parameters of basic roof rotary rock,the force calculationformula of the rotation to the roadway is proposed.(2) Combined with the theory analysis,the deform characteristics and influencefactors of sidewalls are studied,the mechanism of anchor stocks are analyzed,proposed a manner to control the deformation of sidewalls by increasing the length ofanchor stocks,increasing the anchoring force,enhancing the support of top and bottomcorner,and using a combined supporting pattern.(3) By using the numerical simulation,the mechanism is analyzed and the influentfactors are studied,a suitable treatment manner to floor heave is also proposed.(4) Under the study of above,the paper gives a support principle in the mining oflarge height of roadway,and combined the actual roadway conditions,3support plansis proposed. After the comparison by using the numerical simulation, the modifiedplan is pick out,and the actual support plan is modified and upgraded.
