Due to the rapid development of China’s chemical, paper, pharmaceutical, leather,fertilizers, food, foundry and other industries, there are smoky chimneys everywhere, thestench of sewage outfall is also intolerable, as a result the pollution of air is more and moreserious.The stench not only bring unpleasant odor smell on the respiratory system, but alsobring lots of damage to many organs, such as circulatory system, digestive system,endocrine system, nervous system. There is urgent need to know the situation of stench inmaking the corresponding response, so that the development of composite stench electronicnose system, which can a truly reflect the state of the environment pollution, has asignificant meaningIn the paper, a composite electronic nose system is studied and constructed afteranalysis of the existing commercialized electronic nose, taking consideration of both thetechnology and the measure target. This system is aimed at composite malodorous gases,the concentration and ingredients of composite stench is obtained after composite signalacquisition, processing, analysis. In the specific tasks to achieve the process, thearchitecture of master computer-slave computer is adopted. The main task of slavecomputer is to collect the output of the sensor and make amplification, filtering and otherprocessing tasks, while compensating the surrounding environment such as temperature andhumidity. The main task of master computer is to implement user PC control platform,complete the virtual instrument design.In the paper, the selection of sensor array is introduced, and circuit conditioning,hardware circuit design and pneumatic design are described in detail, and the design ofsystem was improved to eliminate deficiencies of preliminary tests. Using a triangle odorbag method, the electronic nose training is completed, basing on a large number ofexperimental data, the eigenvalue of the signal is analyzed preliminarily.Currently a prototype has been able to work, a lot of experiments show that the systemis very easy to operate, and has good reproducibility and high stability, meeting therequirements of the subject, which can be applied in a broad prospects and has importantinnovation value.
