Aerospace is the focused development and industries of China’s future. Theaero-engine is the core component of aircraft,so the research about it has always beenpeople’s attention. The abradable seal coating as a key material of improving engineefficiency and saving energy, its performance evaluation system has become one of theimportant reasons for restricting the development of abradable seal coatings. Research ofperformance of abradable seal coating at high speed and high temperatures and evaluationsystem about abradable seal coating has been very important to the aviation engines and theaviation industry in our country. While, the research and development of ultra-high-speedfriction and wear test system simulating the actual engine operating conditions has been animportant part of evaluation system about abradable seal coating. In this paper, two aspectswere studied, those were: friction and wear mechanisms under ultra-high-speedhigh-temperature and evaluation system. The main contents are as follows:We have referred to the existing friction and wear test system technologies, and thenbuild the framework of ultra-high-speed friction and wear test system, probed keytechnologies of abradable test system, studied the functional requirements of the testingmachine, and researched the performance and parameters of the abradable test rig namedBKY-HVT300/800.Selected CuAl/NiCg coating, GH4169blades as the test samples, then do the frictionand wear tests under different test parameters, the analysis of the macro and micro aspectsabout coatings and blades to distinguish the pros and cons of the friction and wearmechanisms and abradability. Then we studied the friction and wear status of differenttemperatures. The results showed that: With the increase of ambient temperature, theabradability of CuAl/NiCg coatings has dropped, the degree of blades damage willincrease.A simple multi-index comprehensive evaluation method has been proposed, it can beused to evaluate the abradability of the coating, it is comprehensive and its operation andcalculation is simple. Experimental results show that: the multi-index comprehensiveevaluation method is feasible and reliable.Finally, the paper presents aspects needed for further research and exploration to adapt to the development of China’s aerospace industry.
