Chlor-alkali industry is the country’s basic raw material industry, the products of caustic soda, hydrogen, chlorine are widely used invarious sectors of the national economy, playing a decisive role in the national economy. Chlor alkali enterprises are large energy consumption, consumption of diaphragm caustic soda accounts for about81%of the cost of production, seriously affecting the chlor alkali enterprises economic benefit. Compared with the ionic membrane electrolyzer, diaphragm electrolyzer is of high voltage. If the diaphragm electrolyzer transforms ionic membrane electrolyzer, the high cost is needed. And energy-saving diaphragm electrolyzer can achieve the purpose of saving energy on the basis of present technology.Foreign expansion anode manufacturing technology and manufacturing technology of adsorption of modified diaphragm mature, development and related technology of high activity,high stability and hydrogen evolution cathode has obtained rapid development, research and application of domestic and international progress slow, there is still a certain gap. The Tianjin University in recent years by electro deposition method on the iron substrate preparation of nano Ni-W-P, exhibited excellent catalytic hydrogen evolution.Tianjin Bohai Chemical Limited Liability Company and Tianjin University Electric Cooperative Development of the diaphragm electrolyzer with nanometer activatedcathode, the modified diaphragm, the anode and cathode three integrated expansion technique, developed energy-saving diaphragm electrolyzer. After a long time the industrialization operation, reduce the cell voltage0.41V, energy-efficient electrolyzer including:modified diaphragm reduce0.13V;expansion of anode cathode decreased0.20V;activity decreased0.08V. During the operation of energy-saving type of electrolytic cell, the process control indexes are better than the common diaphragm electrolyzer, and the operation cycle is long, the product quality is stable.
