At present, the problem of eccentric wear between tubing and rod in rod pumping wellshas become one of the main factors influencing normal production of oilfield. As for thedown-hole eccentric wear between tubing and rod analysis and governance, it mainly dependson the engineering staff ’s subjective experience. In this reason, blindness is bigger. However,there is still no network software can make simulate the down-hole eccentric wear betweentubing and rod situation visually neither at home nor abroad. Therefore, in this paper, westudy the eccentric wear between tubing and rod deeply based on the theoretical achievementsof computer graphics, computer simulation technology, visualization technology andcomputational geometry. Consequently, Visual simulation network software system ofeccentric wear between tubing and rod in rod pumping wells is developed in this paper.Determined by the analysis of system operation mode, this system is designed based onB/S system. Visual Studio is used as the network software development platform tools. Theoverall framework of Visual simulation network software system of eccentric wear betweentubing and rod in rod pumped wells is set up. Besides, combining with the ActiveXtechnology and COM component technology, OpenGL technology is used in developing theeccentric wear between tubing and rod visual simulation control.In consideration of the need of data storage, visual dynamic display andhuman-computer interaction, single document is established for the eccentric wear betweentubing and rod visual simulation control. According to the integration of single documentsystem and OpenGL, the rod and tubing contact dynamic simulation,3D interactive displayoperation, and visual display of the eccentric wear between tubing and rod mechanics analysisresults and the for governance results are accomplished.Using the theory of computer graphics, the three dimensional hole trajectory isprogrammed based on B-Spline; Because the tubing trajectory can not be constructed byusing OpenGL graphics library, the piecewise geometry method is used to realize the threedimensional transparent tubing and half section tubing; Curve mapping principle is used tosolve the three dimensional dynamic display of buckling sucker rod and the coupling location;eccentric wear mechanics model is analyzed deeply and programmed, so the calculation of eccentric wear mechanics model is finished. Besides, the movement simulation of pumpingunit and sucker rod within a stroke is realized; In view of the existing defects in centralizerscheme, using the vertical and horizontal bending theory, the centralizer mechanical model isperfected. Finally, the effects of eccentric wear governance scheme are simulateddynamically.
