The integration of spot welding machine is widely used in welding operation, such asthe welding of body in white. However, several problems will arise when using the cylinderthat is applied in the point welding machine pneumatic system: how to control the pressureof the pneumatic system; the instability of cylinder inlet; the cylinder piston buffer at the endof movement; energy saving of exhaust and parametric design of cylinder, etc.This paper aims at solving the problems existing in the pneumatic system: on the basisof analyzing the current situation of the development of the cylinder cushion, combining theactual possibility and economy of cylinder improvement, proposes to apply reducing valveand energy accumulator respectively in the inlet and exhaust process of cylinder. Afteranalyzing the general modeling theory of pneumatic components, this paper also analyzesmain characteristics of the structure of reducing valve and energy accumulator, establishesthe mathematical model of direction control valve, cylinder, pressure reducing valve and theenergy accumulator. This paper uses AMESim software, the multidisciplinary field complexsystem modeling simulation platform, to establish model and conduct simulation analysis forthe improved system, and then compares the change of speed of the cylinder, pistondisplacement, cylinder chamber pressure and other physical parameters over time before andafter the improvement of the pneumatic system. In addition, this paper uses AMESimsoftware to analyze the flow characteristic of the pressure reducing valve, pressurecharacteristics of inlet and outlet, the preexisting pressure of the energy accumulator and theinfluence of volume to the system.Through the analysis of the simulation results, this paper proves that the application ofreducing valve and energy accumulator can improve the cushioning performance of cylinder,and the use of energy accumulator can provide a certain degree of pressure for the system tokeep pressure and have the effect of exhaust energy conservation, furthermore, the use of thepressure reducing valve can guarantee the stability of cylinder inlet. By analyzing thedifferent simulation parameters of the pressure reducing valve and energy accumulator, thisarticle concludes that a key factor influencing the system is the outlet pressure of the pressurereducing valve and pre-existing stress is also a factor of energy accumulator that influencingthe system a lot. This paper provides guidance for the parametric design of pneumatic systemby comparing the simulation results of different parameters.
