Research On Numerical Control System Of5-DOF Serial-parallel Machine Tool Based On Graphic Programming

Serial-parallel numerical control machine tool which both has the advantages of highspecific stiffness, fast response speed,high moving accuracy of parallel NC machine tooland large working space of serial NC machine tool has bright prospect.Because of thecomplexity and diversity of the mechanism of serial-parallel NC machine tool,theconstruction of its NC system always adopts open architecture.The paper develops an openNC syetem of5-DOF serial-parallel NC machine tool based on graphic programming.Thebiggest feature of the system is based on graphic programming.The system can receive2Dand3D graphic files generated by CorelDRAW，Pro/E and get out the graphics drawn byusers after machining. Graphic programming reduces the requirement for programmers andraises the efficiency of programming. The main content of the paper is as follows:1.Construct the overall structure of NC syetem of serial-parallel NC machine toolbased on graphic programming.The system consists of upper and lower computer.Advantech IPC is selected to be upper computer system,by which part graphics drawn byPro/E，CorelDRAW can be programmed to machine processing program and NC systemsoftware platform can be built by LabVIEW.PMAC developed by Delta Tau is used to belower computer system,which is able to control5-axis linkage of machine tool.Design thedriving and testing plan of machine tool.2.Design the overall plan of graphic programming realized by Pro/E. With a workpieceas an example,study on the preprocessing and general postprocessing technology suitablefor the machine tool based on Pro/E and apply FIL to conducting redevelopment of thefunction that general postprocessing fails to fulfill. Eventually the NC code suitable for themachine tool is obtained.3.The construction of serial-parallel NC system software platform is achieved byLabVIEW IDE.The main structure is designed and the development of its HMI,file-readingand decoding module, interpolation module, coordinate transformation and kinematicsreverse solution module,communication module is focused on.4.Set up experiment platform of5-DOF serial-parallel NC machine tool.Separatelydebug upper computer system and lower computer system,then do the cooperatingdebugging of NC system and mechanical part of machine tool to verify the correctness of theory of the paper.
