Steckel mill is an important production model of stainless steel plate, it has theadvantages of low investment and small occupation of land, the plate can holdtemperature in the process of rolling and realize the multi pass reversing rolling onsteckel mill, the temperature drop is small and the distribution is uniform. But thesteel roll in the coiler furnace insulation will produce second oxidation in the rollingprocess and the ferric oxide will be generated. So there are many issues must beconcerned in rolling process, the theory and law obtained from the scene andexperiment is hard to cover all situation and expensive,therefore, using finiteelement analysis software is very necessary to study the process of rolling. Theframe is an important part of mill base,it must have sufficient strength and rigidity,so the analysis of the frame strength is essential.This paper makes the four roller rolling mill as an example, in order to studyseven passes rolling process and get the seven times rolling force from finite elementsimulation, and then select different roll speed and plate material or reduction tocompare the rolling force in different case; Because the frame subjected to rollingforce, in order to ensure the normal operation of the whole mechanism, this paperuse the bigger rolling force to analyze the structural strength of the frame. Thisarticle carries on the analysis by the finite element software ABAQUS, the modeldoes not need to import from other CAD software to avoid possible data lossproblem in this process, The analysis field of ABAQUS software is very powerful innonlinear, so the analysis of the steckel mill rolling process is very accurate, the partsin the software can be modeled and meshed, in the software, the user can also set thematerial definition, constraint definition and contact analysis, the problem of thetraditional method cannot be accurately on the grid partition will de solved, and thenget the dynamic results of rolling process. In this paper, the stress distribution will begot in the static analysis of the frame strength, in order to obtain the comparison ofdifferent rolling plate materials, roll speed and reduction effect on the rolling force,the dynamic analysis of rolling process gets the contact stress distribution and thetime variation between the roller and the steel plate. The study on the rolling processwith the dynamic simulation method can analyze the problem existing in rollingprocess and provide theoretical reference on the new rolling technology.
