With China’s growing demand for oil resources and the competition among oil companies becoming increasingly fierce in the global market economy, recording data manually and managing in traditional way can’t meet the production needs of domestic oil industry. Efficient management in the production is an important task in the development of oil field.This topic is from the automation reconstruction project of Diaobingshan oil production plant with the purpose of remote monitoring and digital management,In this paper, the total structure of the oil field remote monitoring system has been designed and the software has been developed on the platform of Lab VIEW. Using database to manage the parameters makes it more conveniently for the workers to monitor and query the data.The works done in this paper is as follows:(1) Based on the background of the topic, the basic theory, development history and the application of the automatic monitoring system in oil production at home and abroad have been introduced, and the significance of this paper’s research is discussed.(2) The overall structure of the system has been designed. Using PLC as lower computer and CAN as network, the topological structure of the oil field communication has been designed according to the real situation.(3) The software including password landing, data acquisition, data monitoring, data query, overrun alarm and report printing has been designed on LabVIEW and Access.(4) The software has been tested on the software testing platform which is built up with PC, PLC and printer in laboratory. It is proved that the software can operate stably and each function module can be realized.Finally, summary and forecast of this paper’s work are provided.
