Electroslag Remelting (ESR) technology is a main method of special metallurgy. ESR ingot has high pure, structure dense and favorable mechanical character and becomes high-grade steel and special steel. It has extensive used in aviation, astronavigation, war industry and energy industry. In order to gain high quality ESR ingot, the overall mechanical structure should be optimized. Therefore, it is hot question in electroslag metallurgy domain.Designed in my paper with120tons ESR Furnace powered by three single-phase transformers, three-arm spin column furnace, bipolar series and the combination mould for remelting. Using the three-dimensional entity modeling software Pro/E, established ESR mechanical system of the three-dimensional entity model. Designed mainly on three-arm column furnace,crystallizer and the lift. Improve the previous mechanical structure of the above shortage.In my paper designed the structure of the combination mould. It adopt two combined form. This mould can be flexible arrangement different specifications ingot production, reduce the replacement electrode time of large electric slag ingot, reducing equipment effective schedule and make large ingot remelting easy to operate.Using ANSYS software on the main mechanical structure finite element analysis, calibration structure strength, stiffness and stress, then According to the results make the optimal design of mechanical structure to eliminate the danger point, reducing equipment failure. The analysis results show that the design of structure meets the requirement.Using the dynamics simulation software ADAMS established dynamics model of electrode machine hand and rotating column. The model is established in the Pro/E, then impore the model in ADAMS, with which predict work performance of mechanical structure in the system level true, To achieve the optimal design for system level. The simulation results show that the model tally with the actual situation.
