The hydrostatic technology, with a high carrying capacity, is an important part of heavy machine tools. Analyzing the pressure distribution under load is the basis for the design of the machine structure. Obtaining the support’s conceptual model through topology optimization. Then based on the conceptual model, using element method to build the support’s structure. Then Size Optimization of the support’s structure to get the optimal solution. This process can greatly reduce designing cycle, improve efficiency. The structural analysis and design of the supporting part and Hydrostatic-Joints department of machine tool has been achieved in this paper combined with the requirement of the project. The main works are contained as follows:(1)Cutting force is calculated in Typical conditions. The cutting force calculation principle is proposed, for example, to calculate vertical machining center’s cutting force; Build a mechanical model of the column. Concentration of vertical machining center’s column is solved, and then distribute to the column’s guideway.(2)the principle and structural characteristics of the machine hydrostatic guideway are Analyzed, combined with analysis of the subject object, hydrostatic guideway’s fuel supply style and structure type are determined. Based on principle of the Unequal area opposite the oil chamber rail, The formula of the oil chamber pressure, capacity, calculated stiffness are proposed, hydrostatic guideway between beams and columns are analyzed by theoretical and CFD.(3)The topology optimization’s finite element model of the heavy machine tool’s column has been established. Based on optimal objectives:the weighted compliance objective of multi load cases and multi objective of static and dynamic state. The topology optimization is completed. And obtain the conceptual model.(4)Obtain the path of force transfer through the conceptual model. Turn the path of force transfer into unit to get the preliminary column structure scheme.(5)The topology optimization is completed which based on optimal multi-objectives of static and dynamic. Establish the column’s optimization model with multi-objective and multi-parameter. Determine the optimal column structure model through sensitivity analysis and optimization.
