The performance in the thickness direction of3D textile composites has greatly improved than traditional planar fabric. Carbon fiber composite materials has been widely used because of its better performance compared to other fiber composite. If its advantages are used targeted, the availability of composite parts will be greatly optimized. Therefore, the study on weaving method of3D textile fabric and design of feasible weaving machine has a far-reaching significance for mass production.A weaving method named3D circular weaving for weaving3D tubular fabric is studied in this paper, which include weft binding method and warp binding method. The forming principle and shedding rules of weft binding yarn are studied in this paper. Two plans for lifting heald shedding mechanism are mentioned and advantages and disadvantages of two plans are analysed. Top suction style electromagnetic control cam lifting heald shedding mechanism is chose as the final plan.Cam profile and structure are designed according to the shedding rules of weft binding method. Two plans of heddle assembly are put forward with their finite element analysis and structure design. Detailed design of the structure and parameter of electromagnet is done. At last, tension compensation institutions is designed and the method to avoid wearing yarns is introduced.This paper has introduced a new type of3D tubular fabric shedding mechanism and show the possibility of mass production of a new3D tubular carbon fiber composite.
