Study On The Key Technologies Of Forging Mold For Titanium Alloy Blade

Precision forging blade forming technology becomes one of the modern technologies used in engine parts, which has been widely applied and developed. Blade surface is3D surface, so it is great difficulties to process by traditional machining, and need strict and high precision of geometry dimension. During the forging process, the forging mold dimensional accuracy and good surface finish are controlled to ensure the quality of the blade usually. Because the operating conditions of precision forging are worse than the ones of ordinary forging, the mold mechanical properties should be strengthened accordingly. Therefore, design, material selection, manufacturing and testing of the precision forging mold need to be researched further.From precision forging technology point of view, this article makes it clear that precision forging forming technology is an important guarantee for blade precision forging. To meet its required accuracy, this article focuses on the research for the design methods of the forging part and mold and machining precision improvement of the mold, and the integrated design method for the blade solid modelling and forging design is proposed, five effective methods to improve the machining precision is summarized; The material selection and heat treatment process of forging die is studied, and reasonable heat treatment and surface treatments system are set up, to ensure mold performance and life and fit the need of precision forging production. Finally the principle and accuracy using the inductance measurement to measuring the blade are studied too, and the problem of precision forging mold manufacturing measurement is solved.The research results can upgrade the company’s level of forging dies design and manufacturing, the machined precision of forging mold can meet the various production requirements of precision forging blade finally.
