Automatic Gauge Control is the main way and mainstream trend of improvingdimensional precision of strip steel products.The article expounds the components,application effect, principle and feature of the Hydralic Automatic Gauge ControlSystem(HAGC)of a hot rolled narrow strip line. Formulate the plan and measure forupgrading to Hydralic Automatic Gauge Control of the last three mills of the finishingmill group by analyzing the mathematical model of Dynamic Automatic Gauge Controland the actual conditions in site.This text introduces the function and the concrete operation process of theAutomatic Gauge Control System, the the configuration and parameters of thecomponents of the execution system and automation system, including the screw-downsystem of finishing mill, hydraulic system and hydraulic gap control of the executionsystem and HMI, PLC, ET200of automation system, the function and configuration ofthe main testing instruments.The paper deduces the mathematical model and draws the conclusion that theDAGC model can calculate the regulating variable of roll-gap via the measuring resultof roll force and roll-gap and adjust the roll gap directly. It saves the trouble ofcalculating thickness and has the advantages of fast response, good stability and simplein adjustment. The text expounds the method of compensation of external disturbanceincluding rigidity coefficient of rolling mill, roll eccentricity, mass flow fluctuation, theprinciple and prindple of enable of counter-AGC, absolute AGC and monitoring AGC.The research subject has great reference value for the technical renovation andtransformation of the same type of production line of China and breaking the foreignmonopoly, provides foundation for adopt DAGC in new plant.The subject draws the following conclusions:1It can improve the thick precision observably by using Hydralic AutomaticGauge Control System instead of Electric Press-down System of the last three mills ofthe finishing mill group of hot rolled narrow strip line.2Reasonable distribution mechanism of reduction can meet the requirements ofelectric AGC and hydraulic AGC simultaneously.
