Open-closed gripper is an important component in single paper printing machine, and its work performance directly affects the production efficiency and overprint accuracy. To the high-spot closed gripper, there’re many problems in high-spot closed gripper, such as vibration, impact and noise. They have negative effects on printing machine. According to the reality, the paper summarized the movement and dynamic characteristics in conjugate cam high-spot closed gripper mechanism in high-speed printing machine. It also analyzed its structure and improved the dynamic characteristics. So it could invent the parametric design software based on the VC++6.0. The main jobs and research results as follows:(1) The high-spot closed gripper mechanism of GH564has its own particularity. The paper provided the kinematics’analysis in this article. First, it brought in cubic spline function, then deduced and established relevant equations to provide the theoretical basis for elastic dynamics. The results showed that, the change of acceleration mutations was the major reason in vibration, attacking and noise.(2) Considering the elastic deformation in high speed movement, the paper established the model by substitution principle of spring-quality system. According to the solving in dynamic response, it also found the reasons in vibration, attacking and noise.(3) Due to the problems in example machine, it improved cam contour curve and chose suitable parameters, aiming at reforming the functions of high-spot closed gripper mechanism. It also analyzed the characteristics of its structure. The results showed that, excellent curves and suitable parameters could make the angle acceleration curve smooth and continuous. It could improve the stability and reduce the vibration, attacking and noise as well.(4) It created relevant software based on the VC++6.0, enterprise demand and theories in conjugate cam high-spot closed gripper mechanism. The software also provided tool supports for products’research and development.
