Resistance welding is now widely used in machinery manufacturing, more precise control method order to get abetter quality of welding has become a research focus.This paper introduces the basic concepts of resistance welding, depth analysis of the factors affecting the quality of welding. Introduced a complete-frequency welding processes and welding characteristics,set a goal to achieve the ultimate issue. Analysis of SCR firing angle and welding current relationship obtained constant current and constant voltage control is feasible.Designed with MSP430controller chip system, achieve constant current, constant voltage control.The hardware design of the circuit according to the corresponding function welder structure, three main parts include:power part,the operation panel and the main control panel. Main control panel circuit include the sampling circuit, the solenoid valve control circuit, the A/D conversion circuit and so.Software aspects of the design of the basic procedures and norms set initialization procedure, the program focuses on the welding process and the constant current control method of software.The basic function of the experimental testing phase welder were tested and analyzed the test results, obtained insufficient RMS error and the firing angle data tables are the two causes of error.
