In coal preparation plant, fine material dehydration is difficult, dehydration mechanism usually used are mainly press filter dehydration equipment. The dehydration effect of filter press is relatively good, but it belongs to the intermittent work, work cycle is too long, the work efficiency is low, and it’s not suitable for continuous treatment of coal slurry status. Therefore, in the continuous feeding of the case of how to improve the dewatering efficiency to obtain the fine material is an urgent the technical problem needs to be solved.To solve this problem, this paper designed a new type of of vertical spiral sieve dehydrator dehydration of high efficiency. And it introduces the working principle, technical characteristics of composition and the specific structure of the machine. It also analysis and designs the structural parameters of spiral screen vertical settlement of key components of type dewatering machine.The dehydration machine comprises a screw conveyor is arranged in the shell along the vertical direction of the outer sleeve is provided with a sieve, screw conveyor, screw conveyor and the screen showed a round table shaped inverted, the lower end of the screen is open, the partition board outside the screen at the lower end of the opening is provided with an annular; screw conveyor shaft passes through the screen and on outside of extending at the top of the casing, an upper rotating shaft is penetrated in the feeding pipe, and one end near the screw conveyor shaft on the body is provided with a material spraying mouth, lower rotating shaft screw conveyor extending outside of the bottom of the casing, and the lower rotating shaft is provided with the supporting device; the upper shaft or shaft is provided with drive the screw conveyor rotating device; double dehydration effect of the dehydrator dehydration by filtration and dewatering extrusion, dehydration of fine particles.Considering the practical application of coal preparation plant, the paper describes the fluent simulation and experiment of such dehydration machine design. In the spiral screen vertical sedimentation centrifuge fluid simulation, using water and different proportion of the material as the experimental object, simulation of trajectory distribution a certain speed distribution of flow velocity of various substances and particles, which characterize different flow rate, different proportion of particle trajectory offset, to illustrate the effect of dehydration centrifuge. In the experiment, this paper is based on coal water mixture as raw material for the production of solid-liquid separation performance test. Study on the feeding quantity, size of materials, and different concentration of coal water slurry of coal water mixture dehydration rate, processing capacity and energy consumption of equipment performance indices such as the influence of process parameters on the screen, and the spiral vertical settlement type dewatering machine were optimized. The test results show that:the spiral screen vertical settlement type dewatering machine with spiral feeding extrusion and gravity dehydration principle, has good effect of dehydration, dehydration rate is less than or equal to75%, production capacity is greater than or equal to8t/h, the energy consumption of the equipment is less than or equal to1.5kw·h/t, the solid-liquid separation methods of superior performance, can satisfy the production requirements of coal slurry solid-liquid separation.
