With the development of urbanization, urban sewage production increased,increasing of municipal sludge treatment and disposal was also concerned, thispaper proposed the use of sewage sludge as raw material, adding the carbonaceousmaterial to prepare carbonaceous adsorbent by chemical activation, and used it todeal with methylene blue and copper waste solution.This study determined that the cotton shell was additives, the mass ratio ofsludge and cotton shell was1:1, and ZnCl2was the best activator. Absorbent withthe best absorption capacity can be prepared when solid-to-liquid ratio was1:1, theactivator concentration was3mol/L, pyrolysis temperature was400℃to activatetwo hours, adsorbent iodine adsorption value was402.9842mg/g, methylene blueadsorption value was59.4600mg/g. The specific surface area was415.04m2/g. TGAcan explain ZnCl2about13%of raw materials to promote weight loss, whileincreasing the carbon content. SEM revealed that the adsorbent had extensive porestructure. FTIR found adsorbent containing C-H, C-OH, C-C and C=C. XRD2thetaat20°and27°, there were obvious diffraction peaks.The best adsorbent in wastewater treatment showed that adsorbent methyleneblue, copper metals adsorption equilibrium time were30min,120min. Adsorbentconcentration of50mg/L methylene blue and copper adsorption equilibrium were119.0476mg/g,192.3077mg/g. The quasi two level dynamic model can describe theadsorption of methylene blue and copper on the adsorbent. Langmuir model wasbetter fitting effect in two kinds of isothermal adsorption, while the correlationcoefficients were0.9988and0.9950. The adsorption of methylene blue and copperwas monolayer adsorption. The activation energy were4.66kJ/mol and29.86kJ/mol,what showed adsorption was physical adsorption.
