Globalization of trade has become an inevitable trend while the development of world economy. As an important node of international shipping, ports have been recognized by scholars of all countries for its important contribution to the economic development. In port economic impact study, foreign scholars had formed some mature and complete research methods and tools. But this study of our country started later, and our port evaluation system is not mature enough, measuring system is not standard enough, data collection is defective, therefore, domestic scholars' study of social and economic benefits of ports are almost about qualitative analysis.Based on the existing domestic study, learned from foreign advanced research methods, this paper analyzes the contribution of port quantitatively. First of all, according to the basic theory of input-output method, this paper separates and reduces order of 122 department input-output table of Tianjin to 20 department and 43 department input-output table which contains port industry by Delphi method, then using this input-output table, this paper calculates and analyzes the relationship of port industry and other industries; secondly, Then using the input-output analysis results, based on the theory of systematic dynamics, this paper establishes a system dynamics model of port economic impact containing input-output relation; Finally, taking Tianjin as the research object, this paper imitates three policy- foreign trade expansion, fixed asset investment growth and industrial structure adjustment, analyzes the changes of the system, and makes suggestion of economic development for Tianjin. The results indicate that the established system dynamics model could value the contribution of port objectively, roundly, accurately, and this will provide powerful supports for the follow-up study.
