In Jinping, Yunnan Copper Polymetallic Deposit Geological Features, Metallogenic Condition And Prospecting Direction

Jinping area is located in the south of Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the northern adjacent to the Hekou county and Gejiu city by the Red River, the southern and the eastern connected with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The region is located in the Yunnan-Tibet tectonic geosynclinal fold lines cross the mountains of south-eastern trough across Ailaoshan stable body and the activities of the Southern terrane Ailaoshan two sub-tectonic units, after a long and complex geological evolution of the ore-forming geological conditions are very favorable, with very good prospect.In this paper, using the forefront of economic geology theories-metallogenic series and related theories of geological disciplines theory and technical methods for guidance, in the work area have done a lot of observation and research work at outdoor and indoor, underground and surface. Completed a major regional metallogenic analysis of the geological environment, geological characteristics of ore deposits, ore mineralogy and fabric research, rock (ore) stone of trace elements, REE and stable isotope geochemistry and fluid inclusions, such as research.The main understanding list in the following:(1) In the study area determined four major metallogenic series with the Cu-polymetallic deposits;(2) Divided the deposit type of Cu-polymetallic deposit in Jinping areas into six kinds by the characteristics of ore-forming geological conditions, mineral deposit and geochemical;(3) Studied the characteristics of typical Cu-polymetallic deposits in Jinping, analysis of the genesis of ore deposits, summed up the prospecting criteria by this characteristics;(4) The results show that the formation of Cu-polymetallic deposits in Jinping areas is closely related with the formation and stratigraphy, structure, magmatic activity, such as the causes:the Cu-polymetallic deposits mainly distributed in the metabasic volcanic rocks of triassic and metamorphic rocks of Ailaoshan group proterozoic, the North-west structure is the region most important channel of magmatic rocks and ore-controlling structure, the output of mineral are closely linked with the volcanic rocks, mafic-ultramafic intrusive rocks and neutral alkaline intrusive rocks;(5) Pointed out five exploration prospect areas about Cu-polymetallic deposit in Jinping areas.
