Automatic Vehicle Location System

This paper discusses the development of AVL system software based on thehierarchial function modal of AVL system.AVL system software impIements the map zoom and query of graphy anddatabased on GIS by the development tool VC++ and Mapinfo integtegrated mappingapplication.This paper advances storage model of traffic network topologydata,efficiently solves the maintenace problem of traffic netWork topology data ofGIS;Implements the shortest path algorathm based on GIS;designs the informationsimulator for the asynchronous serial communication;implements the moving vehicIeicons are dynamically displayed on the map in AVL system;This system is availablefor monitoring and locking track of several vehicles.AVL system software hasfavorable interface.
