The theory of colorseparation of color maP images is consummated and the factors bringinginto color error is studied. At last, several methods are pul fOrward to:the method based on speciality of color map image and image spatialrelativity. the colligation clustering method based on clustering algorithm,the method based on HIS color model and the method based on grayimage. By the use of these methods, we can get perfect result.
