Visualization Technology Of Multi-agent Systems Research

Visualization of MAS is considered as the most effective means of explaining and marking the interactive data in MAS, and it is growing to be an important research field in the development and practical applications of MAS.This thesis first introduces the connotation, research principles and significance of visualization of MAS, and analyses and summarizes the experiences and lessons of the investigators in this field. The thesis then focuses on the basic theories and techniques of visualization of MAS.The thesis particularly analyses the cooperative problem-solving process of MAS, and on the basis of the techniques of visual computing and visual language, the thesis presents a new scheme of visualization of MAS by associating the visualization of system' s global task with the visualization of agent' s personal activities. This new scheme has been verified and proved in experiments.Considering the characteristics of the development environment of Multi-Agent Systems (MBOS), the thesis analyses and researches on the structure and the requirement of visualization of MBOS-based MAS, and then designs a visualization infrastructure for it. This infrastructure can deal with the visualization issues of the great complex MAS based on the Model of Basic Organization Structure (MBOS).Finally, the thesis introduces a visual agent exploited by the author using Visual C++6. 0 under the operating system of Windows.
