Modern Science In China Backward, From The Perspective Of Science Communication

During a considerable long period, ancient science and technology in our country has always played the leading role in the world, such as astronomy, mathematics,medical science etc. In the 17th century, modern natural science came into being in Europe, and then the development of China' s science and technology began to lag behind the Europe. The development of science, as well as other civilization of human, needs accumulation and communication. We consider that scientific development and effective communication are inseparable. The important reason for China' s science and technology has lagged behind the western countries in modern times is that science has not realized the effectively communicating thought the whole society, thus hampered its own progress.First of all, the author analyzed the research background of this thesis, and probed into the concept and content of science communication as well as various kinds of factors of obstacle in science communication. On this basis, by using the theory and method of scientific communicating science, the thesis made profound research on science spread' s culture condition, contents and communication systems in the ancient society of our country. Through analyzing, this thesis draws the following conclusions and enlightenment: the reason of the backwardness of our country' s science development in modern times lie in lack of communicating culture background in Chinese traditional social structure, the inherent defect of Chinese communicating course baffling sciencecommunication in the society, together with the lack of scientific communicating system with integrity function in Chinese traditional social structure.
