With the guide of petroleum geology theory, the paper studied and discussed character ofcontaining oil and gas in Mesozoic of sanidal basin in The East China Sea. The study analysedsecondary tectonic characteristics, rupture distributing, times of magmatic movement, secondarycharacteristics of distributing, deposit and tectonic characteristics using field outcrop, seismic,gravitational and magnetometric, analytic and testing, well drilling and data and adopting manymethods and ways such as analogy of basin, contrast of oily fountainhead, analytic and testingmethod and so on. The study estimated and analysed source rock, reservoir, cap formation , theirrelations of combination and quantity of resource in four depressions and one lobe. The study brought forward that the Mesozoic of sanidal basin in The East China Seais rift and mended tectonic division of Mesozoic combining investigative production of platetcetonics and seismic and well drilling data according to above analysis and study. The studysummarized that Mesozoic of sanidal basin in The East China Sea has property of zoning in eastand west and difference in south and north. Distributing of Mesozoic is thin in north and west anddeep in south and east and deposit environments of Mesozoic are sea in south and continent innorth. magmatic movement of Mesozoic also gradually changes new from west to east andmagmatic effects gradually change weak from west to east at the same time. Property of sanidalbasin in The East China Sea and deposit characteristics decided differences of containing oil andgas in Mesozoic. The study analysed properties of containing oil in four depressions and onelobe according to tectonic evolvement, characteristics of deposit development, source rock,reservoir, cap formation , their relations of combination and quantity of resource and so on. Thepaper predicted source rock in Oujiang depression by contrast between the sea and the continentand geologic characteristics of adjacent areas. The study indicated Minjiang depression is similarwith Fuzhou depression and predicted the source rock in Minjiang depression on the basis oftectonic evolvement and analogy of basin. The study educed that properties of containing oil inMesozoic is better in east and south than in west and north on the basis of analysis and estimate ofsource rock, reservoir, cap formation , their relations of combination and quantity of resource. Theareas of study are divided into four kinds according to properties of containing oil andcomprehensive estimated properties of containing oil in Mesozoic. The study put forward advicesof exploring deployment. The study educed that Mesozoic basin is rift and indicated that Mesozoic deposit is in majorof "red layer" in Qiantang depression and Haijiao lobe and put forward advices that they wouldnot be explored. The study indicated that there will be deposit of transition phase that is similarwith "Shipu limeklin"below the cretaceous. The stratum is explorative expect in Oujiangdepression.Palaeocene series produced hydrocarbon that is limited and Mesozoic is only hope inorder to get oil and gas in Minjiang depression. Mesozoic is probably area that can get oil or gasat present in Fuzhou depression.
