As the requirement of application and development of related subject and technology, the Geographic Information system is used in more and more industry and fields. At the same time, GIS in management of oil and gas reservoir gains rapid development. But the boundary of oil reservoir is very complex and the inside status is difficult to observe directly .So it is important to depict the geometry boundary accurately and we should use the related technologies of graphics to open out a new graphics tools which can export contour and 3-dimension structure graphics.Base on the graphics technologies in existence, we depict the complex region nicety. And we make improvement on the course of seek the point of intersection segments by using knowledge of vector algebra. And by doing this we can do the following things easily: splitting polygon, combining polygons, determination the topological relationship between the polygons, determinant the direction, salient points and though points of polygons, and then we can calculate the internal angles and area of the polygons. In work of opening out 3-dimension structure graphics, we use the methods of construct Delaunay triangles based on dispersed points to build Irregular Triangle Net (TIN), and then trail and draw the contour base the TIN. We use the powerful function of Direct3D8 to develop 3- dimension structure graphics software to observe the contour and 3-dimension structure graphics contrastively base on graphics primitives of triangles, which strengthens the capability of GIS to depict the 3-dimension graphics. As a result, we find that we can get better result by depicting the complex geometry boundary accurately and when used in practice 3-dimension structure graphics we can get a better understanding of oil and gas reservoir. In a word, depicting 3-dimension graphics buildup the GIS life force when used in management of oil and gas reservoir.
