Research On Vector Graphics Plotting Based On Embedded GIS

With the rapid development of the mobile Internet, the third generation(3G) mobile communication technology has been popularized among ordinary people at home. A large number of intelligent embedded devices spring up at all aspects of life, such as telephone-the most typical example, its market shared steadily. Nowadays, many industry demands for the increasing spatial data. It is one of the most important trends in the field of GIS to put GIS(geographic information system)and embedded technologies together, and form an embedded geospatial integrated platform. However, the use of GPS positioning and navigation is the most widely use of embedded GIS, its map just display simply road traffic information. But there is a growing need in the field of application of civil defense, military, resource and environmental monitoring. We need to plot some marker at a specific area based on GIS data, such as roads, mountains, rivers, vegetation, buildings, geological, which will become a hot direction of extension of GIS.In the Mobile Internet field, Android has been concerned in practice fields, it rises rapidly out of hand. The mobile phones based on Android operating system exist throughout of the world, which made people fondle admiringly because of its open system. Before that, the plot of map is essentially based on the desktop, it is hard to carry, but the map plotting system based on the Android operating system make the work easier and more convenient. Compared with other ways of development, it shortens the development cycle and the difficulty, reduces the cost of development. In fact, it is really a good solution for plotting work of embedded GIS. Firstly, the topic introduces GIS and the concept of embedded GIS, then describes the development trends of GIS at domestic and international and the advantages of developing application program based on Android system. It mainly introduced the necessity of the development of embedded GIS plotting system. We did a lot of relevance theory, including related theory of the embedded GIS, map plotting, Android application development. Finally, analyze the development needs of the system, divide the system’s functional module combined with the needs analysis, architecture the overall function of the system, design related data storage method, and design a embedded GIS plotting system based on Android system combined with the advantages of traditional development model. The finishing touches of the subject is to test the system. The test results shows that the system will be able to meet the basic plot function. Besides, the interactive of users and mobile phones is good, the friendly interface and smooth response shows a good effect too.
