Data acquired by marine magnetotelluric instruments is stored as binary fileswith special format. The data files can be converted to usable marine data materialonly before shown and processed with appropriate software of data putback.In the dissertation, demand analysis, design, development and realization of thedata putback software for marine magetotelluric instruments are introduced roundlyand systematically. According to specific requirements of practical work, softwaredesign scheme has been made in the software system based on the data acquired bythe marine magetotelluric instruments. Software development has been done bychoosing Windows development platform, adopting object-oriented programmingmethods and selecting development tool of Visual C ++ 6.0. Following functionshave been realized: System management function, which manages whole softwaresystem to ensure users with permission can use the software system;User interface,which provides users with good interface to facilitate user's operation and usage;File management, which opens, converts, and saves acquired data files as text orother formats files;Color management, which sets colors for every data putbackcurve of all channels and back color of the software;and data putback, which putsback data of all channels, of magnetic field channels, or of electric field channels,and adjusts data putback curves of every channel automatically.
