This paper consists of five chapters, in which the reliability equivalence factors of system without repairing and the instantaneous availability of a repairable unit are considered.In chapter one, the backgrounds , development and work of people before are introduced to us, of reliability equivalence factors and availability, an important characteristic of reliability.In chapter two, the reliability equivalence factors of a parallel system are obtained, which is constructed by n independent and identical Gamma distributed components. The innovative application of prevenient definition of reliability equivalence factors is also involved, three different methods are used to improve the given system, and reliability equivalence factors of the improved systems obtained via different methods used are presented with the survival function as performance measure.In chapter three, the reliability equivalence factors of a series system are obtained, which is constructed by n independent and identical Gamma distributed components. The same as the last chapter, three different methods are used to improve the given system, and reliability equivalence factors of the improved systems obtained via different methods used are presented with the survival function as performance measure.In chapter four, the assessment of instantaneous availability of repairable units under exponential distributions is presented. A repairable unit assuming both operating time and repair time being exponential is considered, the lower confidence limits of A(t) with Chebyshev inequation and generalized p-values are studied here.In chapter five, the future possible studies are simply mentioned of reliability equivalence factors.
