The Wudalianchi New Volcanic Lava Flows Of The Flow Process And Computer Simulation Study

The volcanic activity is a basic geological process, and provides important foundation for the modern material civilization. The researches on the mechanism of volcanic eruption have realistic meaning on the resource exploitation, environment protection and social and economic sustainable development. Wudalianchi volcanoes stand out on the basalt terrace, and is called "Chinese volcano museum" for theirs plentiful sights of volcanic geomorphology. Along the northeast and southwest faults distributes fourteen volcanoes, including Laoheishan and Huoshaoshan. In this paper, I expatiate the physical geography and geological background, and summarize the researches on the lava flow. On the basis of former Wudalianchi volcanic geological map, through the application of GPS and GIS technology, a new regional Wudalianchi volcanic geological map with larger scale and more accuracy is plotted. Through the analysis of the foreign experts' works, a primary Cellular Automata model which can simulate the processes of Wudalianchi lava flow is compiled. The results computed by this model are quite similar to the real situation in some aspects, so the model has practical meaning for the mitigation of volcanic hazards.
